Towns formally declared as 'Regulated' water supply towns

Water quality in Beulah, Brim, Donald, Jung, Lalbert, Minyip, Rupanyup, Ultima, Woomelang and Wycheproof

After extensive consultation with the Department of Health, it has been agreed that the above towns be formally declared ‘Regulated’ water supply towns (unsuitable for human consumption purposes). The Minister for Health made this formal declaration on the 27 February 2012. As a result, Boil Water Notices have been lifted and water to these towns is no longer considered drinking quality water.

GWMWater will continue to chlorinate these supplies and treat the town water storages with a coagulant to ensure that in the absence of filtration, the best quality water possible is
supplied to customers.

GWMWater is currently developing its Capital Works Program as part of the 2013-2018 Water Plan and is considering upgrading the water supply in the larger towns, namely Donald, Wycheproof, Minyip and Rupanyup.
