Our reservoirs are available for use by the entire community to enjoy, so please be safe and smart. In other words don’t be dam stupid!
> supervise children > keep boats and other vessels at a safe distance from swimmers and paddlers > keep speeds to 5 knots and under in designated areas > do not boat or fish after dusk > avoid excessive alcohol consumption > be courteous to other people at all times > camp at designated areas > where open fires are allowed, observe campfire safety > take your rubbish home with you > keep an eye out for snakes in warmer weather
Remember these water bodies are part of natural systems that have changing characteristics including floating objects above the water; hidden objects below the water and changing algae and bacterial levels. So remember to tread carefully and be safe!
