The WMPP Environmental Management Plan has (EMP) been approved by the Victorian Government for Supply System 1 and 7. Local government input into the development of the EMP was critical to ensure that all issues were addressed.
Detailed weed management planning underway with input from landholders within Supply Systems 1 and 7 identifying site-specific issues. Pre-construction controls and post construction management for weeds incorporated into planning.

Land acquisition processes are proceeding for the pump station sites, with no public comment during the notification phase. Formal GWMWater Board approval to proceed with the planning amendments for both Horsham Rural City Council and Hindmarsh Shire Council will be finalised this month.


The EMP for Supply System 5 (Berriwillock and Culgoa) has been developed in consultation with stakeholder organizations. Final approval by government will occur prior to construction commencing.
