The Wimmera Mallee Pipeline Project is one of the largest regional infrastructure projects this region has undertaken. As such, it needs a well-defined structure to ensure it is managed efficiently, effectively, fairly and in accordance with proper procedures. GWMWater is the authority responsible for managing this project in conjunction with the Australian and Victorian Governments and the regional community.

One of the key groups involved in managing this project is a nine-member Pipeline Community Reference Group. People from across the Wimmera Mallee are part of this group, which represents the regional community and keeps GWMWater informed about community views and expectations regarding project outcomes.
